About

Next Era Advocacy

Next Era Advocacy is a student-led digital advocacy platform designed to help young people participate more directly in civic and political life. Through accessible online tools, structured educational resources, and direct support, the platform helps users move from concern about an issue to meaningful advocacy action.

The Problem

Many young people care deeply about the issues shaping their communities and the world, but they are rarely taught how to advocate effectively. In many schools and communities, there is little practical guidance on how to research issues, communicate with institutions, or take organized civic action. As a result, concern often remains concern, instead of becoming informed participation.

Our Solution

Next Era Advocacy addresses this gap through nexteraadvocacy.org, a digital platform that gives young people a clear path into advocacy. Users can explore issue areas, learn how advocacy works, access structured letter-writing guides, use templates and examples, identify relevant decision-makers, submit drafts for feedback, and share their impact stories. The platform is designed to be accessible, practical, and usable across different countries and issue areas.

How Participants Use the Platform

1

Choose an issue they care about — education, climate, health, rights, or any topic affecting their community or country

2

Use the platform's guide, templates, and examples to research the issue and draft a structured advocacy letter

3

Use the representative lookup tool to identify the right decision-maker: a legislator, ministry, institution, or organization

4

Send their letter directly to the identified recipient

5

Submit their experience to the Impact Center so others can learn from their approach and outcomes

Civic participation is a skill — and like any skill, it can be taught. Next Era Advocacy was built on the conviction that young people, given the right tools and guidance, are capable of producing serious, well-researched advocacy. The platform is early-stage and growing, and every participant who writes a letter, shares a story, or refers a peer strengthens what it is becoming.
